You could easily think of your own build. That's what I do all the time, and with ease. The "Watch Yourself!"+Dolyak signet is a good combo vs physical monsters. Here is a quick one for you:

*attr.
strength - rest into here
tactics - 10
axe - 12
wilderness survival - 10+

skills:
bonetti's defense
cyclone axe
dolyak signet
"watch yourself!"
gladiators defense (Elite)
healing signet
barbed trap
flame trap

Try the desert griffons outside of Augary Rock.

Basically, what you want to do is place the traps away from the enemy and then lure about 2-3 griffons at a time.
-When they start attacking use "watch yourself!"+dolyak signet
-Use Gladiator Defense so that they dmg themselves whenever the griffons attempt to attack you
-Use cyclone axe to attack multiple griffons surrounding you
-When low on energy use bonetti's defense
-Only using healing signet when either; you have bonetti's up, or you have dolyak signet+"Watch yourself!" up

Good Luck, and have fun.

Apply Poison instead of Flame Trap would be good, Flame Trap will make them run since it is an AoE type skill. Barbed Trap is ok though, but expensive.

I remember someone posting a W/R build before, although I can't find it right now. I think it was something like this:

Cyclone Axe
Apply Poison
"Victory is Mine!" {E}
Bonetti's Defense
Dolyak Signet
"Watch Yourself"
Healing Signet

and attributes were something like this:

9 in Axe (use a Poisoner's Axe Haft)
11 in Strength
10 in Wilderness
14 in Tactics

and the strategy was something like this:

- round up a bunch of melee things (like minotaurs), dolyak signet, apply poison, cyclone axe them, "watch yourself", "bonetti's defense", healing signet, cyclone axe, "Victory is Mine!"... and stuff like that.
- it works on poisoning everything around you and then using "Victory is Mine!" to regain your health and energy.
- or maybe it was a W/N build that used disease... anyways, same sort of idea

Sweet...but how do you get all those attributes so high? Are the tactics necessary?

I use a w/r build and my setup looks like this:
strength-10
axe-13
tactics-9
beast-7

Skills:
penetrating blow
cyclone axe
executioners strike
eviscerate
tigers fury
healing sig
bonettis defence
predatory season

I have a zealous axe so energy is not a problem for me. When I start I cast predatory season far enough back so the enemies stay on me but stay within it's range. When the enemies are attacking me i use tigers fury, cyclone, bonettis, eviscerate, executioners strike, penetrating blow, healing signet then repeat. I hope this helps.

it's not too hard to become a stance tank and just farm away.

It's fairly easy to farm trolls or griffons/minotaurs using a pure warrior alone.

I have a pretty easy time with big groups of griffons doing the above build but with a little different point distribution. Also healing sig is out and barbed trap is in (useful if you can get it off coming out of a bonetti's), and edge of extinction for skill #8 = teh win. Nothing like seeing eight simultaneous 120's fly up into the air
